This systematically designed course will teach basic marksmanship principles that will cover all fundamental aspects of operating a handgun. New shooters, young shooters, and experienced shooters will all benefit from this program designed to teach or refresh a student on the basics of shooting as well as the safety aspects of shooting. Other aspects of the course include; safe gun handling, home firearm safety, dry-fire and live-fire practice, and much more. This is a great course for families or a refresher for those wishing to take other advanced level USSA courses.

Gear and ammunition requirements:



  • Safe and serviceable Semi-Auto or Revolver handgun. (Please specify on your course registration sheet if you need to rent any of our Glock, Smith and Wesson, or Beretta firearms) 

  • 2 Magazines or 3 speed loaders for revolvers.

  • Eye and ear protection

  • Belt, Holster, and at least two magazine pouches. (please specify on your course registration sheet if you need to rent any of the listed items)

  • 300 rounds of ammunition (we sell most calibers of ammunition and can have some there for you if you'd like)

  • Baseball Style hat

  • Sunscreen and insect repellant

  • Optional: A chair



Students who exhibit unsafe behavior or fail to adhere to the USSA range and safety regulations will be warned, and then removed from class if they continue the unsafe behavior. Students removed from class will NOT receive a refund on their tuition.
