Continuing Education Credit: Oklahoma Law Enforcement Officers will receive 8 hours of continuing education credits upon successful completion of this course.
Purpose: This dynamic one-day course will build and improve upon the foundation you received during your Self-Defense Act Licensing Course in order to better prepare you to carry and, if needed, utilize your weapon.

Congratulations, you have acquired your concealed carry permit!  Now, what else do you need to know?  At USSA firearms training does not end with the issue of a concealed carry permit, it truly has just begun.  You will leave this course not only confident in the law, but also confident in your carry method and how to expertly deploy your weapon from that carry position, if need be.  The life-saving topics in this coure will include, but not be limited to:


  • Firearm selection for individual circumstances

  • Proper holster selection for individual circumstances

  • Proper draw processes with multiple holster options

  • Expert instruction on the deployment of your weapon system from a multitude of common positions, ie. one hand is occupied with groceries or a child, inside a vehicle, restaurant booth, etc...

  • Firearm considerations for home defense

  • 2010 Concealed Carry Update

  • Exciting and informative case studies from individuals around the nation that have been forced to utilize their concealed weapon in a self-defense capacity

Gear and ammunition requirements:


  • Safe and serviceable Semi-Automatic or Revolver (no .22 caliber handguns)

  • 4 magazine (5 if single stack), or 8 speed loaders/moon clips for revolvers

  • Belt, holster and at least two magazine pouches

  • 350 rounds of ammunition

  • Billed or brimmed hat

  • Sunscreen and insect repellant

  • Eye and ear protection

Students who exhibit unsafe behavior or fail to adhere to the USSA range and safety regulations will be warned, and then removed from class if they continue the unsafe behavior. Students removed from class will NOT receive a refund on their tuition.
