New Policy Changes as of June 1st, 2023
We have also seen a huge increase in business on Saturdays and Sundays. This has led to some very lengthy wait times. In an effort to accommodate everyone we will be implementing a time limit on all premium “private.” bays on Saturday and Sunday. For Members, premium bay usage will be limited to 3 hours in one session. For nonmembers there will be a 2-hour limit for premium bay use. All new memberships and renewals after 6-1-23 will be subject to the 2-hour limit. If you choose to remain in the premium bay after the allocated time, you may elect to do so at a rate of 25.00 per person for an additional 2 hours for both members and nonmembers. The commonly shared bays (West Carbine, South Carbine, 300vd. Rogers Range and MP 11-12) will not be subject to the time limitations. During the weekdays, Tuesday through Friday. there will be no time limits.
In addition. with the summer heat upon us 10 x 10 canopies are allowed on MP 11-12 and 300yd for you to shade your bench if you choose (customer supplied).
The next change to address will be with regards to target backers. We often find that these “migrate” to bays around the range. In an effort to provide quality backers to all customers we will be providing 2 backers on all private 50-yard bays (MP-13 through MP 20) all remaining private pistol bays and comp bays will have 1 target backer provided. You may request additional backers at a cost of 10.00 per backer. If you are planning on bringing a large group. We would suggest you call ahead and schedule a private bay rental and we can tailor a quote to best suit your event.
With the issue of safety in mind we have decided to implement a new target policy. The only approved targets for use on the range will be as follows. Paper targets and self-adhering “Shoot-N-C” style targets to be attached to the provided backers. In addition. we will provide rental pistol steel for 10.00 per plate (Max of 5) on all pistol bays and comp bays. Rifle steel will be available in the coming weeks. No other targetry will be allowed. With respect to safety. the number, and variations of alternative targets we have experienced is why we must make this change.
Another very popular bay at the range is our 300-vard rifle range. You may have noticed some changes such as benches and the addition of steel plates at the 200 yards and 300 yards. We will be providing EVEN MORE STEEL. With the addition of more steel and more shooting positions. The 300yd will be billed at an additional day fee of 10.00 per shooter to both members and nonmembers.
The final change we are excited to bring to fruition is with regard to our rental program. If you have not heard of the rental program, it allows members and non-members use of a gun for $15.00 plus the cost of ammunition. You may have noticed our selection is a little outdated. We will be adding new weapons to that selection over the coming days. In addition. we will be starting a featured ‘Gun of the Month” program. Frequently we are asked about the latest and greatest guns so we will be adding a new gun to the rental program every month. Each month Members will have the chance to participate in a poll to elect the next “Gun of the Month.” For participating in the poll, members will be added to a raffle and will be drawn to win a free rental and a free 50rds! The first “Gun of the Month” is the Sig Sauer 365 Macro. Currently the rental program remains the same as it has been for members. For nonmembers the rental will be accompanied by an RSO for the time it is used. Unless the non-member has taken the Introduction to Pistol class on Sundays at 1 p.m.
We are excited about all the changes we’ve been able to make this year and are looking forward to even more range improvements to make it an even better range experience.
